Recipes: Poha

Poha is one of my favorite things we've had for breakfast. It's a rice dish with veggies and peanuts. The name poha is actually the kind of flattened rice used. Here's the recipe, courtesy of Sneha!

Mince

Cauliflower

One Onion

One Small potato

1-2 Carrots

Green beans

Sauté the onions in canola oil, and then add all other veggies.

Add curry leaves, peas, black mustard seeds and salt.

In a separate pan, sauté a handful of peanuts to crisp them up.

On the side, soak poha in a bowl of water for no more than 1-2 min

Add peanuts and strained poha to the pan with veggies

Squeeze a bit of lemon on, and then cook until the rice gets plump and tender.
